The colored version of the picture I drew with Kyle in 1944 on the left waist gun of a B-17G Flying Fortress. As I went I made several changes and fixes. Including the addition of a few more bullet holes in the side of the bomber. The .50cal shells are not mine, I just looked for them on Google Images.
On I side note, I read recently that the Waist Gunners had the highest attrition rate of the war, due to their exposed position in the bomber, and for the most part, very little between them and the fighters attacking the B-17s. Atleast the Ball-turret Gunners had some armor (although they typically went down with their planes). This goes out to all of those that gave their lives during the daylight raids in the skies over Europe during WW2.

ok for one that is just epic!
two. i am not sure i like the smoke effect you did with it. the smoke from the weapon itself just dosnt seem to fit with the rest of the style. just saying, but that is still an epic idea and pic!
